It’s always a fun challenge to start the season off with a division rivalry. Gets you in the right frame of mind early in the season, that'll be good for us. I think we’ve seen some good things this preseason offensively, but we need to work on improving each week and getting the wheels rolling. Preseason is never as fast as it will be Week 1 of the regular season but at times it's faster than practice. It's definitely more live than it is in practice, which helps us.
One of our biggest advantages coming into this season is our consistency on the offensive line. We have some good chemistry going and I know it'll only get better as the season goes on. With some early injuries, they’ll have to keep Aaron upright and help open some holes, but I have a 100 percent confidence in those guys.
For me, I'm definitely a lot more comfortable and more natural this year when it comes to running the ball and knowing where my guys are going to be. Knowing when they're going to double team, who they're coming off and when they're coming off. For pass protection, I'm keyed in with that as well, and I'm not overthinking or over-worried about it. So I'm definitely a lot calmer in my third year and I can't wait to get out there and make plays for this team.
You know I don't pay attention to other teams a whole lot but looks like the Bears got some new faces in. It's always hard creating consistency when there's new guys coming in but that's what camp is for. I'm sure they will give us a good test and we got to be ready for whatever they throw at us.
