Thank you to so many of you fans who have reached out by sending well wishes and prayers my way. It’s really tough working your way back from injury, but it’s a little easier knowing you have a bunch of people who have your back. Packer fans really are the best fans in the world!
The good news is that I am making progress in my recovery. The ankle is still sore, but it’s not anywhere close to as painful as it was. We have a great team of doctors and trainers here. They have been great at keeping my spirits up on the frustrating days
The hardest part of the recovery has been the mental end of things. Obviously, I’m bummed to not be out there with my team. You have to be patient and persistent when you’re recovering from an injury like mine. There are plenty of days where the only thing I can do related to football is rest and rehab. It’s frustrating not being able to play, but I know this long and hard process will get me on the field faster.
I’m trying to stay locked in with the team in other ways. Whenever I’m not rehabbing my ankle, I’ll jump into our team and running back meetings. This helps me stay involved with the guys, motivated, and keeps my head in the game.
I’m taking it one day at a time. I am hoping I can come back late in the season, but we’ll see how my rehab goes. I’ll be back soon.
