Carroll concerned with Packers RB Lacy

POSTED BY: EDDIE LACY in NEWS

RENTON, Wash. -- Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said there is one big difference in the Green Bay offense they will see Thursday night compared to the one the Seahawks saw two years ago.

It’s running back Eddie Lacy, the second-year player out of Alabama.

“He a hammer,” Carroll said. “It’s all the stuff we saw him do in college the way he could dominate games running tough and physically. I have a lot of respect for him. He’d be an improvement to any team offense.”

Lacy rushed for 1,178 yards as a rookie last season and averaged 4.1-yard per carry. Carroll said there is one area where Lacey is better than most backs.

“You have to really wrap him up,” Carroll said. “It’s calling for us to tackle really well in this game. He will not go down easily. They also have him in on third down and they don’t mind throwing it to him. He’s an obvious element now. He’s a big deal.”
